Shades of Gray Purebred Miniature Schnauzers

Shades of Gray Miniature Schnauzers

The mini schnauzer is a highly intelligent, loyal, alert dog with a happy, gentle disposition. They are energetic, playful and easily trained. With early socialisation, basic training and a clear, consistent mandate, they will become what you want them to be.

They have an instinct to "report" arrivals to their territory, but can be trained to do this appropriately.

They grow 12"-14" high and weigh 10-15 lbs, with a lifespan of approx 12-15 years.

Their non-shed, non allergic coats make them an ideal house dog and a favourite with allergy sufferers. An added bonus is that they do not have the "doggy" smell like other breeds. They do require some coat maintenance, even if owners prefer the shaggy look. Regular attention to keeping the inner ears, feet and eyes clear of long hair is necessary.

If you are considering buying a mini schnauzer I recommend that you research the breed well to be sure that they will suit your needs and lifestyle . There are many informative articles  online about minis.
