The contributions below are from SPOTCOMBENGAL kitten owners and Bengal breeders.
I have been a registered NZCF breeder for more than 20 years now and am therefore familiar with fellow breeders.
I have known Janne Leeds since she started breeding Bengals. I have been more than happy for Janne to add my lines to her program.
I find Janne to be honest and fair in her dealings and a very pleasant lady to be associated with.
Janne's cats are in a beautiful environment and are very well cared for.
I have no hesitation in recommending Janne and her kittens to anyone looking for a reputable and responsible breeder.

Hi Janne, Thank you so much for our stunning new family member SPOTCOMBENGAL FIREFLY "MARBLE". She has settled in so well with our toddler and Jack Russell.
Bengals are amazing cats but can exhibit Asian Leopard Cat instinctual behaviours, but you have a wonderful line here and your kittens are healthy, sweet natured and perfectly socialised, with no sign of fear or aggression at all.
As a fellow Bengal breeder I can only hope that my kittens are as "family friendly" as Marble when they reach their new homes.
I am very excited to meet the characters beautiful Marble will produce with my sire next season.
I will happily recommend you as a caring, responsible breeder and your lovely Bengal lines as perfect examples of the breed to anyone.
Thank you again,

MARBLESPOTCOMBENGAL PRIMA DONNA 'Sikqu" |
Hello,
Dianne and I live in Dunedin where exposure and accessibility to
knowledgeable and accommodating breeders of either cats or dogs is
limited.
Some years ago we purchased our first pure bred cat from a breeder in
Wellington. Dianne had owned mogey's for many years so it was time for a
pure bred, a Bengal.
Regretfully 8 months into the wonderful experience of Bengal's, our lovely
lass was diagnosed with leukemia and died.
We were heart broken ... however great things come in small packages from
Janne at Spotcombengal Cats.
Both Dianne and I have had our sadness turned into joy with our new kitten
'Sikqu', breed and raised by Janne in Waihi.
To fill the void of that loss was a tall order, however Janne& Peter have
not only provided us with a lovely well bred and socialized kitten, we
have also been given a gift of welcoming friendship, guidance and genuine
caring as people.
Janne at Spotcombengal Cats doesn't just breed high quality genetically
superior cats, she also delivers a lifestyle choice that follows you and
your new pet home should you chose.
We both highly recommend Janne of Spotcombengal Cats as an experienced,
trustworthy and knowledgeable breeder of Bengals.

Sikqu is Great! She rules the roost, calls the shots, chases the dogs and
stalks the birds
She is simply marvellous thank you and we love her to bits, a real
character in our lives.
During the day when we are out or at work, Sikqu has her own outdoor
aviary area to play and watch the chickens. Soon I will re-roof the cage
with PVC or Polycarbonate material for the coming winter.
When we are home she is a large part of the family creating mischief
wherever she goes and plays something chronic. Two of the dogs love her
lots, however our 4 year old pup is stil
Soon her next shots will be due when her Vet has a check-up on her health.
Growing like an weed and probably doubled in size.
Will write more soon, Fire Call to attend,
Kind regards
Dianne and Martin

Zak |
To Whom It may concern
I recently picked up my new SPOTCOMBENGAL kitten "Zak". He is a healthy, adorable little guy, so soft and fine featured. His colour and pattern are superb. Everyone who meets him comments on how beautiful he is.
Janne has been wonderful to deal with, keeping me up to date with his progress prior to picking him up and sending photos regularly. I have visited him several times while waiting for him.
Don't hold back - these are the finest cats you can get!

Zak with his new Dad Jeff |
I have recently picked up my gorgeous Bengal kitten from Janne at Spotcombengal Cats. This is the 2nd kitten I have got from Janne.
Tragically, my first kitten Zak was run over and killed. He was just coming up to his 1st birthday and I was devasted. Once I had got over the loss of Zak I contacted Janne to see if she had any kittens available. Janne really did go out of her way to pair up the same parents of Zak and it is comforting to know that I have a beautiful full brother to Zak.
Janne has an awesome property near Waihi where her cats and dogs enjoy playing in the garden and climbing trees. She has imported beautiful new cats which will be bred next season with the top of the line kittens she has kept. Her breeding experience and dedication to improving her lines ensures you will not regret getting your new kitten from Janne and Pete.
Bengals are just a bit different to other breeds, they love to be around their humans and act more like little dogs. They are very smart and will be the talk of the neighbourhood when they see your new family member. Everyone has been so impressed with their beauty and smarts when they meet them.
All I can say is go for it, get a Bengal and get it from Janne so you can be sure to get a beautiful, healthy purebred kitten. Often kittens bought off Trade Me are actually cross bred. It is such a shame to cross breed these beautiful cats.
I can highly recommend Janne as an honest reputable breeder who loves her cats and makes sure her kittens go to the best homes.

SPOTCOMBENGAL ELEKTRA 'Lipstick"
Having decided to engage with this exotic breed and all their wonderful and quirky personality traits, the key to achieving a rewarding outcome is undoubtedly that of identifying and building a relationship with a quality breeder. Janne Leeds of Spotcombengal is undoubtedly such an entity. Janne’s breeding stock (and this is critical) is of the highest caliber. Imported bloodlines form the basis of her success along with a unique ability to match pet and owner, the latter being an ingredient of significant importance to ensuring a rewarding relationship. Janne’s facilities are first class and set the tone for building the trust and confidence necessary when making decisions of such a personal nature.
I can highly recommend Spotcombengal as a brand representing the highest standards of breeding integrity and dedication to customer satisfaction. Kevin Gallichan

"Lippy" is such a delight! She is full of energy, highly inquisitive and always entertaining. She's quite quirky, runs around energetically chasing ghosts! She has such a delightful personality and is very affectionate. She has a shower with me every morning and is the talk of the street. Thank you for Lippy, we couldn't wish for more. Kevin Gallichan.
In November 2016 we picked up our first bengal from Janne
in Waihi, a wee girl named Kora. A year and half later we decided we
needed another one, so in March 2018 we brought home a boy kitten and
named him Chevy. Both Kora and Chevy have the most unique personalities
and it gives our home quite the character. They love drinking from a
running bath tap, climbing up trees, and we often hear them before we
see them. They’re very vocal, intelligent, active cats and are great
companions - perfect for a young family or a person living on their own.
Both cats are very healthy, and we were very happy to discover
when we brought each cat home that they were toilet trained! Janne is a
genuine breeder and we will continue to purchase cats from her in the
future. Her grounds are the perfect environment for kittens and parents
to grow and develop in, and we were warmed to know how loved and cared
for they were up until we picked them up. Thank you Janne, for our
beautiful cats, we couldn’t be happier with your quality service and
development updates. We will continue to send you photos of Kora and
Chevy.

Hi Janne just thought I'd let you know how Kato is going and show you some
photo's. He loves water and will hop in the shower with anyone who will let
him so he sometimes has 2 showers a day and you can towel dry his coat
really easy. He loves playing in the toilet - he comes running if he hears
it being flushed and will sit on the rim and play with the water as it
flushes. He will put his face under my sink when I'm washing the dishes
just to annoyingly pull the plug out and watch the water disappear. He hops
in our vanity sinks if waters running, he likes playing in the rain (if I
let him out) --- he is no ordinary cat that's for sure. He is super cuddly
and affectionate -- he likes sleeping across Bryces keyboard when Bryce is
trying to work. But the great thing is he likes all of us and will snuggle
up with anyone for a cuddle so he's a great family cat. He loves it outside
- he would go crazy if he was an indoor cat but we make him come in when it
gets dark which he often strongly protests about (he can be extremely vocal
when he wants his own way). He loves climbing trees and goes scarily high
for my liking -- so we don't trim his claws anymore as it was affecting his
ability to climb down some of the near vertical branches but he manages to
climb them almost koala bear style. His coat is exceptional - Bryce and I
went and looked around the cat show in Tauranga last weekend and the bengals
there were nowhere near as stunning as our boy (we may be biased but it was
still true). Thought it would have been interesting to of entered him but I
think he would howl all day if he was made to sit in a small cage all day.
So he is doing great and is much loved by all of us -- he is a very active
boy. Today he discovered he could get onto the clothes line to chew my pegs
by climbing the fence, he was literally trying to walk across the thin
string like a tight rope walker I was relieved when he didn't fall and
finally got down. He still loves all his fresh foods (kidney, heart,
chicken necks, beef, fish) and wont touch biscats -- maybe that's why his
coat is so amazing. His favourite thing to play with are the fat straws
from kfc -- weird right. He will role them along the floor for hours and
we throw them for him and he fetches them like a dog, he also loves his
cardboard boxes -- he destroys all his feather like toys in days but at
least he hasn't caught any real birds yet (or not to our knowledge).
Nearly everyday my kids say to me " mum I think we really did get the pick
of the litter" and I have to agree with them.
Thanks heaps for giving us such an awesome kitty

SPOTCOMBENGAL BELLA ROSA
Good Afternoon Janne,
Rosa is growing up fast and she is such a beautiful
little cat, she is a favourite with our neighbours too, she likes to
visit them. Our lovely 90 year old neighbour loves Rosa's visits and
patting her when she visits her. We have a number of children living in
our street and they all love playing with her. The other day I looked
out our front window, to see two little girls making Rosa a play toy of
wool and hanging it in one of our trees, it was very cute, Rosa was up
the tree watching them.
Rosa loves to play in our water fountain and spending
time helping Chris in the garden and chasing our other cat Mika around
the garden. I am not very good at working out how I can send multiple
photos in one go, so you might get a few emails of photos. You can see
how beautiful her markings are now, she really is so beautiful and
brings us so much joy.
Thank you so much for our gorgeous girl.
Kind Regards,
Ruth Dunlop.

In November 2016 we purchased 2 of Janne's Bengal kittens, a brother and sister, Simba and
Nala. After choosing our babies Janne kept us informed with regards to their progress and sent us
regular photos which we really looked forward to. We could hardly wait to pick them up and bring them home.
They settled in well in our rural home and quickly became besties with Wesley our pug dog.
They are the best cats I've ever owned, although they are slightly different from other cats, once you have earned their trust they love you immensely. They sleep on our bed every night and are so entertaining. They love water, are expert tree climbers and often sit on the top of doors.
I highly recommend Spotcombengal kittens. They are well socialised, beautiful, happy and healthy. Maree Wakelin.

We picked up our two kittens, Mac and Korra, from Janne at the
beginning of December and since then they have been a complete delight.
They are the best of friends and they make us laugh every day, we’re
very happy we got two! Our marble girl and spotted boy are very
affectionate, playful and beautiful.
Janne was amazing throughout the whole process, she sent us lots of
photo updates and information. She was happy for us to visit the
kittens more than once and when we finally brought them home they were
very well trained.
We would highly recommend Janne as a breeder. Rosie Bird

SPOTCOMBENGAL TOP GUN "Maverick"
SPOTCOMBENGAL TOP GUN "Maverick"
Maverick lives with Derryn and family in Waiuku.
Hi Janne, I was lying in bed this morning thinking I should send you some photos of my little man Maverick. He sleeps happily beside me every night once he has settled down from his evening antics!
The whole family is so in love with him, he is such a little character, full of beans, and forever entertaining us.
He is now allowed outside whenever he wants during the day and is enjoying his huge playground, especially the cabbage trees which he loves to climb to the top of. We've decided he'll be an inside cat at night. I wouldn't sleep a wink knowing he was out in the dark (probably causing havoc)
He loves to play fetch and chases everything that moves. He chased a wasp and got a swollen eye, but I see him chasing them again!
I must say "I'm not getting much done these days always stopping for a cuddle or play whenever I pass him!
Maverick is 10 months old now, Derryn writes,
Hi Janne,
Maverick is naughty, cheeky and very smart! He is enjoying his life on the farm and all it has to offer.
He's friends with one of the cats and they have lots of fun together. Our other cat has been traumatised by other cats in the past which Maverick thinks is great fun, pouncing on her whenever he gets the chance-much to her disgust.
Daylight saving will be interesting as he's decided he'd rather be outside gallavanting at night than snuggling with us in be. Catching him at night is a challenge for us but great fun in his eyes. He let's me almost pick him up then runs off out of reach again.
He's a real character and I don't think I could ever go back to a normal cat after him. Jason adores him, we all do! Derryn Maxwell
SPOTCOMBENGAL SPOT ON 'MONTY"
Monty is very well, she loves the "country life" and being able to explore and hunt. Monty has been helping with our rabbit problem, mostly baby rabbits but the other day she got a big adult. The wild side of her breeding is there.
She still plays for hours and is happy in and out of upturned banana boxes. She loves the holes and reaches in for her toys inside.
All in all she is the perfect cat for us! She loves to play, hunt and is so confident in her big wide open country home, yet she's so snuggly and affectionate when the mood takes her. She "talks" very loudly when her food is not ready on time!
SPOTCOMBENGAL RING OF FIRE "Xena"
Zena lives with Lucinda and Morne in Auckland.
Zena is such a wonderful addition to our lives. She's playful and fun and growing so fast.
She has so much energy, a real testament to Janne's ability to breed and rear healthy kittens. Spotcombengal came highly recommended to us and as soon as we made contact with Janne she was very helpful and informative. Once we had decided on our kitten Janne kept us updated on her progress with pictures and information about her temperament. She came with all the information we needed about her health and nutrition.
We love our little girl and wouldn't hestitate to choose Spotcombengal again if we get Xena a little brother or sister.
Thank you again Janne for Xena. It's hard to get photos of her as she's always on the go. We'll keep you posted as she grows. Lucinda Kendell

Popkorn |
POPKORN became part of our family mid 2016 and we've never regretted it.
The excitement built as Janne sent us photos and regular updates of her growth and personality before we brought her home.
She arrived healthy, confident and well looked after. Her bubbly personality always brightens our days and those of our visitors.
She is a quick eager learner and loves a game of fetch and dashing through the outdoor water sprinkler. We liken her personality traits to those of a dog.
We highly recommend Bengals as a breed to anyone wanting an out of the ordinary cat.
We found SPOTCOMBENGAL a pleasure to deal with and are happy to recommend Janne to buyers who want a reputable breeder.
Thank you Janne and the Spotcom team!

Kora is a sepia snow owned by Dyanne Kokich in Whagerei. Dyanne writes;
Kora's long car trip home went really well, she was such a good girl and slept most of the way.
She's eating well and getting used to her new home. The kids are loving to spend time playing with her.
Our older Bengal boy Cody hissed at her at first but is doing it less every day, anyway she snarls back at him if he does and makes him think twice. She is keeping him on his toes by playing dirty, but he is tolerant and although he's the one squealing when she bites his ears with her sharp teeth, he always goes back for more. By week 2 they were playing and he was cleaning and sharing his bed. She's a little Minx, think I should have called her that!
She's a big cat in a little cat body.
Kora impressed the vet with her health and bravery! She accepted her vaccination and microchip proceedures with no crying or growling. Dyanne Kokich

loves his new life and has become very attached to me. He's also made
friends with the dogs lambs and chickens and apart from the odd growl
from the dogs, who are all quite possessive of the bed, we have relative
peace. Ian and I built him a jungle gym outside out of wooden pallets.
He adores it and each day he is spending more time outside. We're both

Bagheera is an absolute pleasure to have and we love him so much, as does our one year old dog, Evan. He loves water and one of his favourite things to do is to have a play in our bathroom vanity in warm water with some chestnuts. He also loves spending time outside, and once again, is very drawn to water. He sleeps on our bed cuddled up to Evan every night (thank goodness we have a very large bed) and is almost like a dog in that he runs to the door with the dog when people come, has a very loud purr and talks to us a lot.
We are continuously amazed by his beauty!
